Getting Started Guide

No matter if you are entirely new to THORWallet DEX or just want to refresh something, this Getting Started guide is going to provide you with everything you need to know. If you do not yet have the app installed, have a look at our "How to install THORWallet DEX" guide. The first thing after opening the app is a Security Check. The Security Check is performed every time upon opening the app, and it makes sure that THORChain's third-party services are working correctly. After the Security Check, the following screen will appear:

Click on "Get started" , and accept the TOS then click "Continue". Setup a password , it can be pin or alphanumeric password. It is used while opening the app and to authenticate the transactions.

Then you will be taken to the following page, where you have an option to either create a new wallet or import an existing wallet(Seed phrase) from other web 3 wallets. (i.e metamask, trust wallet , etc). here we are creating a new wallet. click on "Create Wallet"

the app will generate a seed phrase for your wallet. It is used to restore your wallet(uninstalling and reinstalling the app or importing thorwallet's seed phrase into other web 3 wallets). Your unique seed phrase is what guards your funds. You should NEVER disclose it to anyone online/offline, nor should you show it in front of a camera. Store your seed phrase in a safe location, preferably on a piece of paper or a flash drive.

After backing-up your wallet , The app asks for a Referal code. you can enter it , if you have one or find on here. or else can proceed without one.

then you will be asked to set-up biometrics , enable/disable it as you wish.

that sit, click "get started" in the next page, your wallet is created and is functional. From here, you can explore all the functions (Swaps, Receive & Send, Provide Liquidity) the app offers.
