# Private Swaps

Thanks to THORWallet’s integration with NEAR, confidential/private swaps are available for certain swap routes. When using Private Transaction mode, the transaction trail cannot be easily traced on-chain, providing an additional layer of privacy.

Private swaps typically cost slightly more than standard swaps, while execution times remain similar.

If a private swap is available for your selected route, the **“Make it Private”** option will appear on the **Swap Preview** screen. Simply toggle it on before confirming the swap.
